GoAble™ Refund & Returns Policy (South Africa)

At GoAble™, we are committed to providing high-quality mobility products and accessories. We understand that purchasing mobility equipment is an important decision, and we want to ensure a fair and transparent returns and refund process. This policy is fully aligned with the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA) of South Africa.

1. 7-Day Returns (Change of Mind – ECTA)

If you purchased a product online through www.goable.net, you are entitled to a 7-day cooling-off period from the date of delivery.

During this period, you may return the product for any reason, provided that:

  • The product is unused, undamaged, and in its original packaging;

  • All accessories, manuals, and components are included;

  • The product has not been assembled, installed, modified, or used outdoors.

Refunds for change-of-mind returns exclude:

  • Delivery fees

  • Return courier fees

  • Any damage caused during transit due to inadequate packaging

Refunds will be issued within 7–10 business days after the returned item has been inspected.

2. Returns Due to Damage or Defects (CPA)

If the product is defective, faulty, or not working as intended, you may return it within 6 months of purchase in terms of Section 56 of the CPA.

A defect includes:

  • Manufacturing faults

  • Mechanical or electrical failure (not caused by misuse)

  • Components that do not perform according to specification

GoAble™ will, at our discretion:

  1. Repair the item; or

  2. Replace the item; or

  3. Refund you in full, if repair or replacement is not possible.

3. Non-Returnable Items (for hygiene & customization reasons)

The following items cannot be returned unless defective on delivery:

  • Toilet-related mobility chairs or commodes

  • Custom-built or customised items

  • Products used outdoors or on public roads

  • Batteries that have been opened, charged, or installed

  • Products that show signs of wear, dirt, scratches, or usage

4. Warranty Claims

All GoAble™ products come with a 6-month limited warranty in accordance with the CPA.

The warranty does not cover:

  • Damage caused by misuse, neglect, accidents, or improper operation

  • Water exposure, rust, or environmental damage

  • Unauthorized repairs or modification

  • Normal wear and tear (e.g., tyres, brake pads, cushions)

Warranty claims require:

  • Proof of purchase

  • Photographs or video evidence

  • A description of the issue

5. Pre-Order Products

Pre-order items are shipped according to estimated timelines.
Refunds on pre-orders are allowed before shipping, but a 10% cancellation fee may apply to cover administrative and import costs.

Once the product has shipped, the standard refund/returns rules apply.

6. Return Shipping Fees

Unless the return is due to a defect or incorrect item supplied, the customer is responsible for:

  • Return courier fees

  • Insurance for the return shipment

  • Ensuring safe packaging

GoAble™ will arrange the courier at the customer's request.

7. Refund Processing Time

Refunds are processed within 7–10 business days after:

  • The product has been received, inspected, and approved;

  • Bank details have been verified.

Refunds are issued via EFT only.

8. Incorrect or Missing Items

If you received the wrong item, or parts are missing, please notify us within 48 hours of delivery with photos/videos. We will correct the issue at no cost to you.
